Findings/conclusions |
The report constitutes the first country-wide supply-demand analysis at the county level. The analysis highlighted between 3 to 10 sub-national fuelwood hot spots depending on varying input assumptions. The most critical situations coincide with fuelwood demand census data for pig iron production. The study didn’t include woody plantations, not detected by the land cover map resolution, and flows between native forest harvesting areas and siderurgic facilities. Almost no critical areas appeared over the Amazon basin. |
